NubriNubriNubri valley  lies in the northern part of historical  Gorkha district and the valley consists of Bihi, Prok, Lho and Sama Village Development Committees. Majority of the population here is comprises of ethnic Bhote Lama who have their own culture and religion.
Nubri valley  lies in the northern part of historical  Gorkha district and the valley consists of Bihi, Prok, Lho and Sama Village Development Committees. Majority of the population here is comprises of ethnic Bhote Lama who have their own culture and religion.
 
Population of the valley is around 9000 from about 850 households. Majority of the people here depend on agriculture and animal husbandry for there living. Varieties of crops such as maize, barley, potato and fruits incluing apple and oat nuts are primarily grown here. However the yield from the crops is only sufficient for about 3 months and the peoply have to rely on nearby trade hubs, Tibet in the north and Arughat in the south for food and supplies for the rest of the year.
 
These region is blessed with beautiful mountains and lakes as well as dashing landscape and sceneries. Manaslu (8163m), Serangi,Himalchuli are the renowned mountains residing in the valley. Lakes like KalTal and Biredratal are known for their elegance eyecatching phenomenon especially during the winter.
Almost all the people dwelling in the valley are Buddhist. Thus there are many historical monasteries and stupas located within the villages. Monastries here are famous for Buddhist education as well as Nepalese and English language. Additionally, these monastries have been home for thousands of Monks and Nuns for years. Every VDCs within this region consists of There is Buddhist education including Nepali and English subjects in there monasteries which provide residence for monks and nuns. There are government schools and health posts in every VDCs.
